It all started with a prayer . . .

for new friends to share my love of sewing. I began to host sewing events at my home, but space was limited. I noticed a “For Rent” sign in a shop window and voila! My Best Friend's Sewing Room was born.

 

We recognize the need to teach little fingers to sew, not only as a craft, but as a life skill. We want to inspire children to sew in a caring atmosphere, building confidence and nurturing the spirit. We strive to make our sewing parties and classes safe, yet fun and hope to plant seeds for our future sewists.

Sewing parties include a “safety session” as the kids are introduced to the machines before beginning a project. These parties are a great venue for kids’ birthdays, homeschool classes, girl scout sewing badges or any of life’s celebrations. Sewing classes and camps are also offered, as well as private lessons. And ladies, if you are in need of a Girls Night Out, treat yourselves and book your “Sip and Sew” party with us.
